About Agora Community Services
Bridging the gap between financial strength and homeownership for people all across America
Our founder, Mary L. Jones, has more than 30 years of counseling and coaching experience, with a focus on community housing services and issues. Mrs. Jones’ previously worked as a licensed real estate broker and was a member of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, Illinois Association of REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®. She has since administered a homeless and rental emergency housing program for single mothers and fathers, providing temporary housing and related services to people in need.

In 2005, Mrs. Jones decided to create AGORA Community Services after coming face to face with eviction. She searched for ways to stop the process but had difficulty finding the resources she needed. When she found herself in a better financial position, she decided to create an organization that would help people facing similar situations. She stands next to every client and is committed to helping all of them find a solution.
